Repertory and CD

Choral Society of Moravian Teachers (PSMU) has staged over 700 songs by our and foreign authors. Due to the traditions the repertory of PSMU is linked mainly with the work of Leos Janacek and Bohuslav Martinu. Nevertheless, also songs by other Czech composers such as Pavel Křížkovský, Bedřicha Smetana, Antonína Dvořák, Josef Bohuslav Foerster, Emil Axman, Vítězslav Novák, Václav Kálik, Eugen Suchoň, Petr Eben and Antonín Tučapský, are sung. Foreign choral work is represented by composers’ works  from the Renaissance to the Present (Jacobus Handl-Gallus, Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, Tomas Luis de Victoria, Orlando di Lasso, Johannes Brahms, Igor Stravinsky, Carl Orff, Quido Pipol and many others).

Dramaturgy of the concert can be adapted to the requirements of the concert organizer. Usually, the program consists of three parts - songs by Czech composers, classical polyphony and foreign composers, arrangements of folk songs. For the church premises, we can make a concert program with purely spiritual themes.
